Make your own scalp exfoliant.

Make your own scalp exfoliant.

Shampoos, masks and conditioners take care of our locks but they are not that powerful to compete with the scalp scrub when it comes to scalp cleansing and buildup removal. Just like the body scrubs, scalp scrubs remove product buildup, dirt, excess oil, and dead skin cells that gather at the root of your hair. Unfortunatly, many of us forget to take care of the scalp and it leads to dull hair, dandruff, oily scalp and even hair loss. When you exfoliate your scalp, you're clearing up the follicles in which the hair grows from. Your hair will grow in healthier, making it look shinier.

Here is a recipe of home made scalp exfoliant to see healthier hair from the root down. Start small with a once-weekly scalp treatment, then expand to twice-weekly if desired.

You need :

-2 Tbsp freshly-ground coffee

-2 Tbsp Fenugreek Oil

-6 Drops of Tea Tree Oil

Why we made this particular scalp scrub?

First of all, this scrub is suitable for oily and for dry scalp as well. The grainy texture of coffee helps improve the blood circulation in the scalp. Rubbing it thoroughly onto the scalp will help in hair growth. Fenugreek Oil contains protein and iron. This oil strengthens hair follicles and reduces hair loss. Tea Tree Oil is a natural scalp clarifier and it helps to balance the pH of the scalp.

DIRECTIONS:

Mix all ingredients together and the scrub is ready to use. Once you are in the bathroom, wet your hair. Comb through and separate sections of your hair, apply the scrub with your fingertips and massage it into your scalp. You can use a scalp massaging tool as well. It will stimulate blood circulation and help to exfoliate. Be gentle and massage in circular motion. After that, proceed to wash your hair as usual. After the shower, apply 2 drops of Argan Oil on the wet hair (avoid the roots) to moisturise and continue to style your hair as usual.

Add this habit to your hair care routine and it will provide your hair the best environment to thrive.
